| Code of Ethics: Librarians provide service to all users through appropriate and usefully organized resources. Librarians uphold the principles of intellectual freedom and resist efforts to censor library resources. Librarians protect user's rights to privacy and confidentiality. Librarians recognize and respect intellectual property rights. Librarians treat co-workers and colleagues with respect, fairness, and good faith. Librarians do not advance private interests at the expense of library users, colleagues, or our employing institutions. Librarians distinguish between our personal convictions and profesional duties.
